Anal Bleaching & Hydroquinone

I'm not saying you have thought about anal bleaching for yourself, but I am willing to bet the first time you heard the words "anal bleaching" together, it sparked up your curiosity.

Personally, I do not have any experience with anal bleaching. I have never had it done and I have never done it to a client. However, I am getting a lot of questions from clients about it lately, so I took it upon myself to do some research.

I found a video of Joseph Birdsong talking about anal bleaching. This video cracked me up, but I like awkward, dry humor. Joseph sums up everything you need to know about bleaching your biscuit. Enjoy :)

Hydroquinone: JB makes an important comment in this video about hyroquinone.. "banned in several countries, but not the USA!" Please do research on this ingredient, why it has been banned in other countries, and why it is in the process of being banned here at home.

Anal bleaching products are not the only thing you can find hydroquinone in. It is a very popular active ingredient in skin lightening products for your face. (FYI-I wouldn't suggest rubbing butthole cream on your face, unless it specifically states it is meant for multiple areas of the body) A lot of clients tell me their dermatologist perscribed them creams with hydroquinone for hyper pigmentation. There ARE alternatives out there.

My Pink Wink Cream is one anal bleaching cream I found that is hydroquinone free, and can be used on multiple areas of the body. **Please do your own research of any product and/or talk to your healthcare professional before trying.

Happy bleaching! *wink-wink*

Brazilian Waxing

"Does it hurt?"

Well what the Hell do you think it's going to feel like?? Rainbows, unicorns, and a ray of sunshine? You're getting hair ripped from your body...yes, that shit hurts!

With that being said, everyone comes out alive...at least 100% of my clients have survived their first brazilian wax. But, before I've scared you off from ever trying your first "bare all down there" wax, listen up:

I'm going to make you 3 promises:

1-The first one is the worst one (I swear. Piece of cake from there on out!)
2- It is, like, 12 times better than shaving.
  3-Less hair over time

Read on...

The first one is the worst one, but there are a few things you can do to make your experience more comfortable:

..Choose a professional...someone who has a good reputation in full body waxing. A true professional has plenty of experience under her belt, has proper training, & has confidence in her own work. Also, if someone is offering a $19.99 special on a brazilian wax, that's a red flag. Run. I don't want to hear about you using a Groupon-schmoupon for your vajayjay. She's going to be with you for a while. She's going to give you some good times. Don't be cheap, take care of her.

..Plan your wax. Though you CAN get waxed while Aunt Flow is in town, it probably isn't a good idea to get your first wax while Mother Nature has blessed you with your monthly visitor. You are much more sensitive right before and during your period.

..Take an ibuprofen 30-45 minutes before your appointment.

..Numbing creams. I personally have never used a numbing cream for a wax, and I have heard mixed reviews on them. If the pain is something you are truly worried about, here are two brands I recommend:
No Scream Cream by Relax-N-Wax. Active ingredient: 20% benzocaine
Plum Numb by Plum Smooth. Active ingredient: 4% lidocaine
**Please do your own research on each of these products before using

Once you go wax, you never go back...to shaving. I hear it all the time! Clients will come in 4-5 weeks later for their 2nd wax and I'll ask, "How did your first wax treat you?" The number one response I hear, "Totally worth it! I'm never going back to shaving!"

When you shave, you are slicing the hair at the thickest part of the hair shaft. As that hair starts to grow back, it feels more coarse and stubbly, causing itching, burning, and irritation. All of this is in addition to the increased risk of ingrown hairs and a vag that looks and feels more angry than a heat rash wrapped in a sweater in July.

Waxing removes the entire hair shaft, root, bulb, and all. Over the next few weeks, your hair will grow in. But this time, it will be softer, finer, and over time, there will be less and less that grows back. What does this mean for you? A less chance of ingrown hairs, little to no irritation, more hair free days, and a happier looking peach!

Permanent damage. Normally the words "permanent damage" isn't something you want done to your queenie area, but in this case, it is to your benefit. Over time, with continuous waxing, the hair follicle ends up getting damaged enough to where it will no longer produce a new bulb, root, and in the end, no hair.
